Two years ago I was afforded the opportunity to work at St. Joseph hospital and have been there since. It is an environment that defines how medicine should be: the nurses and doctors work side by side as a unit, the patients are always the primary concern, there is the highest level of equity and flexibility in scheduling, and we have the full support of our consulting doctors. These seem to be the characteristics of all the Emergency Departments that Diversified Services covers. I am fortunate to work in such an environment, I think all of our doctors at St. Joseph's feels the same way. I am a University of Illinois medical school graduate and was trained in one of the Michigan State University training programs.

I have worked at St. Joseph for over 10 years. The last 2 years have been with Diversified Emergency Services. I have the possibility to work at all of our three locations. This has enabled me to be exposed to a wide range of urban clinical settings with a diverse patient population. Diversified Emergency Services has been able to sustain a very efficient and friendly working environment. We are all looking forward to the new state of the art Emergency Department at St Mary's hospital.
